outerwear has always been a favorite of mine.. this adirondack coat is by Cynthia Steffe i bought it last year and it's one of my favorite pieces.. the fur trimmed hood and sleeves come off so it's perfect for someone like me who loves to throw a fur on or under.. well anything. The fur coat is vintage woven rabbit.. so soft and warm.. the scarf is Salvor.. my favorite addition this season - screen printed scarves.. it's art on georgette and I'm kind of addicted. the bag is Celine and leather pants by L.A.M.B.. you can't tell but this morning was freeezing..but i was toasty in my bundled-up attire.. stay warm! xx

So I must admit my favorite Lady Gaga vid is definitely "Paparazzi".. it's a long one but it's oh so glamourous.. from the bustier she dons to palazzo where it was filmed.. it's just a fabulous music video. so you can imagine how excited I was to hear that this year, instead of your run-of-the-mill "Santa's Workshop", Barney's New York is collaborating with Mother Monster to create "Gaga's Workshop"

I had a chance to check it out before it was opened to the public and I couldn't help but try on these Linda Farrow sunnies... totally impractical (unless you're Lady Gaga) when you fold down the Minnie Mouse ears.. it's completely blacked out! These baby's were featured in "Paparazzi".. but she frequently wears them folded down in interviews.

The other week I had the pleasure to meet Alexander Wang while at work.. I am usually a little stand off-ish when I first meet designers, but he's such a cool guy.. he helped me pick out the bag I get to take home as an incentive prize for last months performance...I seriously love my job sometimes... getting to shop for a living definitely has its benefits.

yes, we have been stacking bracelets for years now... but I just love, LOVE this look.. I became obsessed with Eddie Borgo's cone bracelets and recently just splurged on one.. I tend to pair it with, well... everything! and I constantly get comments on it.

loving this simple, chic hair-do lately! a quick low braid is always easy - it's great for wearing with hats, obviously.. but... if you do a loose braid while your hair is still a little damp, spritz with some Sebastian, when you take it down a few hours later you will have what I like to call "gypsy waves"

I picked up this fabulous velour ottoman the other day.. let me tell you, this was the last thing I needed.. I already have too much furniture for my small apartment but I couldn't pass this one up. (please note the Missoni Pellegrino..obviously I love anything limited edition - and Missoni for that matter)

This chain-maille necklace is probably the most talked about piece I own... I made it from pieces I sourced in the Garment District while working at Haute Hippie... literally every time myself or my roommate wears it out we get hundreds of comments on it.. its perfect to wear during the day/night.. It's the perfect statement piece for a basic outfit. Season after season Prabal never ceases to amaze me! This is from his Fall 11' line and I am dying for this white mesh and ostrich feather blouse... in the fashion world everyone knows Prabal, but to the masses.. he's not as well known, which is totally unfortunate because he is an absolute genius! Individually his pieces are amazing... they are perfect for pairing with basics.. like leather pants or high waisted anything..shorts, pants, skirts.. it works!

These boots are seriously comfortable and quite possibly one of this fall's top purchases. Oh yes, and thank you, mom for the most perfect hand-me-down skirt, buttery calfskin leather, it's to die for and I practically live in it.

Ahh yes.. I came across these Dedon Nestrests a little while go in Architectural Digest... this scene looks so peaceful and scenic.. I wish I could hang one of these in my tiny Gramercy apartment.. it would be my version of Gilligan's hammock bed...only much cooler. And its a steal.. at only $15,000!

Love this line! We just started carrying it at Barney's and the dresses are to die! (along with everything else in the line, all of which is made in France) This particular dress does cost a pretty penny, but the fit is amazing and the lace is so luxurious... I had to try it on here for the corporate mailer "pick of the week"... love my job!

LOVE these limited edition black and white python booties that I just bought... definitely a statement piece, and a must have for Fall. The only thing I am dreading is the breaking in of this boot.. ugh the humanity! pain is beauty though, as mom would say.
